functionality. Itprovidesdecentralised, on-site control
ofsecurityfeaturessuch assoundersor beaconsand
other system elements.
The individualcontrolgroups(relays) are treated as
control-panel-internaloutputs. Theycan therefore also
be activated byother controlpanelsin the essernet
®
network. The esserbus

programmed asNO or NCwith the “tools8000” soft-
ware .

The esserbus
®transponder with 32 LED outputsisan
intelligentsolution. Light-emitting diodes, such asthose
in a remote indicator panel, previouslyhad to be acti-
vated directlyvia the fire alarm controlpanel, butthe esser-
bus
®transponder with 32 LEDscarriesoutitstaskeither
decentrallyor directlyin the remote indicator panel. The
32 outputsofthe esserbus
®transponder can be wired and
programmed aspositive or negative switches. Each LED
outputcan drive a currentof10 mA. The module isfitted
with the necessaryseriesresistorsfor LED activation
before itleavesthe factory. In addition, itprovidesthe
option ofmonitoring an externalswitching voltage. It
also hasa lamp testinput.

®transponder issimplyinclud-
ed asa user on the 2-wire loop ofthe fire alarm system
8000, the esserbus
®. In comparison with conventionaltech-
niques, thiseliminatesthe need for extensive wiringfrom and
to the controlpanel. The esserbus
®transponder can also be
integrated on an alreadyexisting esserbus
®. Data isexchanged
over the esserbus
®with the help ofthe monitored 2-wire line,
using wire-saving technology.
The esserbus
®transponder can alwaysbe installed very
easily. An additionalpower supplycan be optionallyrouted
through the controlpanelor an externalpower supply.
No lossofsecuritythrough malfunctions
In case ofa malfunction, for example a shortcircuitin
the primaryloop, the 788612 zone isolator (optional) in the
loop isolatesthe segmentbetween two isolators, so that
the restofthe primaryloop continuesto function normally.
