modern hardware and software architecture allowsa
simple and flexible response to anysetofrequirements.
In certain applicationsa redundantsecond CPU isrequired
ifmore than 512 detectorsare connected, to ensure smooth
transition in case one CPU fails. Thisisstate-of-the-art
securityatitsbest.
Safe even ifcontrolpanelfails
Ifthe controlpanelshould fail, the monitoring loop
routesthe fire detection and alarm signalsto another point.
Even ifthe power fails, the available back-up batteryen-
suresthatthe system remainsactive. The 8008 remains
capable ofdetection beyond normalemergencyoperation.
Modular conceptprovidesscalability
The 8008 hardware supportsup to 40 micromodules.

Ring busfor flexibilityand safety
The ring bustechnologysupportschangesto the design

faultand maintenance signalsin addition to alarms. More-
over, the exactlocation ofeach detector can be indicated
